This Coffee Maker allows you to manually adjust the brewing speed control or to stop it as it flows into the carafe.. In other words this machine offers manual-adjust stop brewing basket that give you more control over your brewing. Brew a 40oz carafe of your favorite specialty coffee in six minutes flat and keep it hot till you pour the last cup!

The unique copper boiling element heats water rapidly between 196° – 205° and allows you to get full extraction out of your coffee, therefore giving you the full flavor you are looking for.

The glass carafe sits perfectly on the hot plate, which has a special heating element that allows you to heat and keep your coffee at 175° or 185° so that you never overheat and burn your coffee. The timer on the hot plate gives you 100 minutes before it automatically turns itself off. This Coffee Maker brewer is SCA Certified, therefore ensuring brewing at the correct temperature and time.

Brewing on your Moccamaster KB – How it works

1. Fast Brewing Time

Easy to use with a simple and quiet brew process, the KBt makes a half or full carafe of coffee in only 4-6 minutes.

2. Consistent Temperature

The copper boiling element quickly heats water to 196°F – 205°F brewing temperature and automatically shuts off when the water reservoir is empty.

3. Precise Engineering

The boiling action lifts the water up the glass tube as it flows into the outlet arm and then pulses over the brew basket, the coffee grounds start blooming in a manual pour-over style.

4. Optimized Coffee Extraction

The cone-shaped brew basket fully steeps the coffee grounds, extracting the coffee’s full flavor which maximizing its complexity, taste, and aroma.

5. Independent Hotplate

The KB hi-lo selector switch adjusts hotplate temperature within a range of 175°F – 185°F depending on the amount brewed. For safety the power switch and hotplate automatically shut off after 100 minutes.
