Ethiopia Sidama is a light roast, single-origin coffee sourced from the Sidama region of Ethiopia, produced by the Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (SCFCU). This cooperative represents over 80,000 smallholder farmers across 67 member groups, cultivating heirloom Arabica varieties at elevations ranging from 1500–2200 meters above sea level. The coffee is naturally processed, contributing to its fruit-forward profile and enhanced sweetness in the cup.
In the cup, Ethiopia Sidama presents bright, expressive acidity with layered notes of blueberry, raspberry, and floral citrus reminiscent of lavender lemonade. The natural processing emphasizes ripe fruit character and a rounded mouthfeel, while maintaining clarity and balance. This coffee is well-suited for pour-over and filter brewing, where its aromatics and complexity are most pronounced, but it can also produce a vibrant, fruit-driven espresso.
Grown under shade in biodiverse environments, this coffee is certified organic and Fair Trade, reflecting sustainable farming practices and equitable sourcing through cooperative infrastructure.
