Flavor Profile

Ethiopia is widely recognized as the birthplace of coffee, and the country's Yirgacheffe region continues to produce some of the world's most sought-after specialty coffees. While Yirgacheffe is best known for its washed coffees, Ethiopia Misty Valley takes a different approach with a carefully managed natural process that highlights the region's vibrant fruit character and floral complexity.

Produced under the leadership of coffee exporter Abdullah Bagersh, whose family has worked in coffee for generations, this coffee is processed at the renowned Aricha washing station in the Misty Valley region. The coffee cherries are meticulously dried on raised beds and closely monitored throughout the process to create a remarkably clean natural coffee. The result is a top-grade Ethiopian heirloom coffee with bright berry notes, floral aromatics, and the sweet, juicy profile that has made Misty Valley one of the most celebrated natural process coffees from Ethiopia.

The Ethiopia Misti Valley coffee is a great coffee and has a nice smooth flavor. Very good coffee goes well with our breakfast and everyone enjoys it.

The variety of specialty coffee offered by Maker’s Coffee Company is definitely top notch compared to store brand specialty coffees.
