The Inner Lid of the Airscape container does not release the naturally occurring CO2 from coffee, but each time you open the container, CO2 is released.

Absolutely! The Airscape is suitable for storing ground coffee and other dry goods.
What is the best way to wash or clean the Airscape?
While it is possible to clean the Airscape in the dishwasher (on the top shelf), we highly recommend hand-washing as it helps extend the lifespan of your product.
The Airscape Coffee Storage Canister inner lid should always be gently hand-washed and left out to air-dry though.
